Abstract

Small businesses play a strategic role in the local economy, especially in creating jobs, improving community welfare, and driving regional economic growth. However, one of the main challenges often faced by small business owners is the lack of understanding and skills in effectively managing finances. The lack of systematic financial record-keeping, difficulty in controlling cash flow, and limited access to financial information can hinder the sustainability and development of businesses. Kasawari Village, located in Aertembaga District, Bitung City, has a number of small business operators who contribute to the local economy, both in the trade, culinary, and home industry sectors. Although they have great potential, many small businesses in this area face challenges in financial management, resulting in business instability and difficulty in expanding. Through this mentoring activity, it is hoped that small business operators can gain a better understanding of simple financial management, including financial recording, budget planning, profit and loss analysis, and financial strategies that can help them improve their competitiveness and business sustainability. The approach used in this program includes practice-based training, interactive discussions, and direct mentoring to ensure that participants can apply the knowledge gained in their daily business operations. With these activities, it is expected that a stronger, more transparent, and resilient small business ecosystem will be created, capable of supporting sustainable local economic growth.
